When it comes to love there’s no such thing as conventional.
Everyone thinks Colton Neely is special.
Lilly Evans just thinks he’s fascinating.
Once friends when they were younger, their bond is cut short due to her accident prone nature and they go their separate ways. Years later, they meet again and Lilly learns that there is something special about the boy she once knew, but she has no idea what it all means. And she’s not sure if she’s ready to find out.
When he walks through the corridor of her school the first day of her senior year, she knows that it’s time to get to know the real Colton Neely. The more she learns, the deeper she falls.
Their friendship grows into love, even as Colton does not express it in words. But one decision threatens to break down the world that Lilly has tried so hard to integrate into and she must figure out if the relationship can survive if they are apart.

This has to be one the best stories I’ve ever read. If I could only use one word to describe this book that word would be BEAUTIFUL. Lilly Evans befriends Colton Neely unaware that he will save her life flip it inside out and eventually become the half that makes her whole. The two first meet as children but Lilly’s reckless behavior cuts their young friendship short. It’s not until high school that Colton re-enters her life and with this a budding friendship turns to love.
“You’d like to think it’s a choice to love him, but it’s not, Lilly. You’ve already decided. I can see it on your face.” I knew she was right. There was nothing inside me that could imagine it being any different. I wanted to be there with them and I didn’t care what anyone had to say or who thought what about any of it.
“You want people to stop thinking he’s different? Get him involved with your friends so they can see him like you do. Let them see the Colton you’re falling so hard for. I guarantee they’ll all get it in due time. He’s really amazing.” She smiled with that last sentence before leaving me alone in the library to mull over her words.

Lilly is rambunctious and at times this played against her however she also has a big caring heart that she opens up and freely gives to Colton without even realizing it. I truly admired her spirit and will to be there for Colton as a friend. Her unconditional love was AMAZING…INSPIRING!
My Thoughts
This book had me from beginning to end. It was a quick read as I read it in a day. Both characters are captivating in their own way. Each will bring a smile to your face. Colton has a boyish charm that when coupled with Lilly’s unyielding faithfulness to him they become adorably irresistible.
