4 Hearts

Goodreads Summary
Haley Martin decides the only way to let go of her lingering nightmares is to literally move on. Taking a leap of faith she finds herself enrolling at a campus hundreds of miles away from home.

She leaves any thoughts of dating again in Jersey, that is until fate crosses her path with a blue-eyed stud named Kyler King. He is notoriously known for being emotionally unattainable, but his façade is only to hide the burdens he bares every day.

As Kyler and Haley’s physical attraction becomes deeper, the secrets of the past threaten to surface. When Haley’s past collides with the present, will her secrets prove too big of an obstacle hindering their happily ever after, or will letting go be the key that locks their bond forever?

Warning: This book is intended for readers 17+ due to explicit language and sexual encounters.

First thing I have to say is, this book has no cliffhanger. You get an ending that wraps the story up very nicely. I know those are kinda hard to come by these days, so I just wanted to throw that out there right away!

When Haley steps foot in Alabama, she believes she has left her past behind and has a chance to start over. In a new place where no one knows her or about her tragic past, she sets out to make new friends and move on with her life. But those she left behind are never really far from her thoughts.

Then she meets Kyler. The attraction between them is instant and hot.

"This won't be sweet Hale, as much as I want to take my time and enjoy you. I need you now."

But there is more to their connection then either of them first realize. They both have had tragedies in their past that have left them feeling lost and alone. It is through that bond, that they slowly form a relationship. It is one that begins as a "friends with benefits" sort of thing, but quickly leads to more.

These two seem to be prone to tragic events though. There are quite a few things that happen throughout the book that are heartbreaking. And each one adds another hurdle they have to cross in their relationship But it is their love for one another that pulls them through each obstacle that is placed in front of them.

The Upside of Letting Go is sweet and heartbreaking all at the same time. So, if you are looking for a book that gives you a broken couple finding their way through life, then this is just the one for you. Did I mention there is no cliffhanger?!?!
