Blog Tour: Revved by Samantha Towle

Release Date: March 24th

Race car mechanic Andressa “Andi” Amaro has one rule—no dating drivers. With a good reason behind the rule, she has no plans on breaking it.

Carrick Ryan is the bad boy of Formula One. With a face and body that melts panties on sight, and an Irish lilt that leaves women on their knees, begging for more. He races hard and parties harder. The youngest driver to ever sign with F1, he’s still at the top of his game five years later, breaking hearts on and off the tracks.

When Andi is offered her dream job working in the glamorous world of F1, she leaves her home in Brazil, positive she can handle working for Carrick. But she’s not prepared for the off-the-chart sparks that fly the moment they meet.

Now, Andi has a crush on the one man she can’t have, and her resolve is about to be put to the test, because Carrick has decided he wants Andi, and he plans on testing her to the very limit…

So this book completely consumed my whole Sunday.  I thought I might just read the prologue and then come back to it later in the day... yeah right.  I was a goner as soon as I begun and nothing was going to come between me and this story.

Let's set the scene.

We have the beautiful, smart and sassy Andressa Amaro.  She has a degree in mechanical engineering and has just been hired as a mechanic for team Rybell, working for Carrick Ryan.

Carrick is a young, sexy, Irish Formula One driver.  Women drop their panties for him all over the world and he loves the attention.

When Carrick meets Andressa (Andi) he thinks she is a gift that fell from the sky just for him to unwrap and enjoy. Wrong!  Andi is not interested in fawning all over him, she is there to do a job and do it well. Okay, she cannot deny that the man is attractive and makes her girly bits feel all tingly but there is no way she is getting involved with Carrick, it will only lead her down a path she never wants to follow.

"In this moment, I realize that I'm massively screwed.  Because I fancy him.  Big time. And now, I have to find a way to deal with that.  Trust me to get a crush on the one man I can't have." - Andi

Seems like friendship will have to be the happy medium between these two.  I love how they just seem to click, they are so comfortable around each other and they just have this lovely familiarity.   They would be just perfect together if Andi would just let him in.  Carrick makes no secret of the fact that he wants her, no one ever says no to him and rejection is not a feeling he is comfortable with.

Andi frustrated the hell out of me, she is too caught up in her fears and the what if's.  Life will just pass her by and she will miss out on what could be the most incredible experience of her life if she keeps on believing all the negative self talk going on in her head.  Denying herself the happiness she has within her grasp is exhausting.

"He deserves so much more.  I'm not strong enough to be with him.  I'm broken." - Andi

Carrick goes through so many emotions in this story.  The public image and private truth are two very different things when it comes to him.  He is a really sweet guy and is feeling so inexplicably drawn to Andi but it's like riding a bloody see-saw with her.  One moment he is up in the air, facing the sun and enjoying the view and the next he is sitting the dirt with a jarring thud.  I felt so bad for him.

"Andressa is everything I never knew I wanted, and now, I wouldn't know how to live without her." - Carrick

I loved getting completely pulled into this ride with Carrick and Andi.  I never thought Samantha could make me feel so divided between Jake Wethers and another man but big ups to her, my heart is now officially split!

I give this 5 stars.

“Deny it all you want, but you know it’s true. You want me to fuck you.”
“And you want to fuck me,” I fire back.
“Sure I do. I’m not the one denying it here.” He lifts his hand from my waist to cup my cheek, his thumb touching dangerously close to my lips. “So what do you say?”
“To what?”
“Fucking.”
“I’d say you’re seriously overconfident about it.”
He throws his head back on a deep laugh. It makes me glow inside.
A smile is still touching his eyes, when he says, “You say that now. It’ll be a different story afterwards.”
