A chance meeting with a stranger can turn your entire world upside down.

Lily Hilton has it all, but is hiding from a troublesome past. When she enters a bar downtown, and runs into her old high school crush, her entire world is turned upside down. She is determined to make him notice her, but that plan may work better than she expects.
Colton does not hesitate to take Lily home and use her as his new pawn, but their past begins to catch up with them as their secrets unravel and he must decide what is more important to him, protecting Lily or himself.
*ARC provided by author for an honest review*

This book is a tough one to review. There is so much that happens, but I can't really say what without giving away a huge part of the plot line. And no one likes a reviewer who spoils the book for them, right? So, I am going to stick strictly with very general things here so not to ruin anything for anyone.

First, when I found out Reality Bites! was selected to take part in Safe Word's Blog Tour, I felt like I had seriously hit the book lottery. You know, the feeling of getting your hands on a book that you have been salivating for ever since the first teaser was posted? I swear, they probably could hear my screams in the next state!

So, as you can guess I started reading the moment I got the email with my ARC attached. I even broke my one rule when it comes to reading of never starting a new book while still reading another one. Yep, that is how excited I was to get to Safe Word. And I read the WHOLE book in one sitting, barely stopping for food and bathroom breaks. It is THAT ah-maz-a-balls good!!

I am sure you had read the teasers Teresa Mummert has been torturing us with for a while now. And I will say yes, all that steam is definitely in Safe Word...and then some!! But what you don't get from those teasers is how much depth there is to this story. They in no way prepare you for the emotional roller coaster you will be taken on.

Colt is enigma that will intrigue you from the moment you meet him. He is so much deeper than I was expecting him to be. And needless to say, he will suck you into his world and hold you hostage (like that don't ya!) until the very end. I loved him from the beginning and was a complete goner by the end. He definitely has knocked a few other BBF's down a few notches for me!!

So, if you are looking for a hot steamy read with a great storyline that is filled with angst, suspense, love, surprises, twist and turns that all lead to a HEA type of an ending, then get Safe Word TODAY as this is one you do not want to miss!!!

OMG!!!! This book was sooooooo not what I was expecting!!!!!! SOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!
I would have given this book 5++++++++++++ BUT I wanted more! I felt the book could have taken me on so many more angles, even though where I went….was freaking AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, in light of not giving anything away in this book, I have found that this review was super-difficult for me to write! I want the reader to experience every twist and turn of this crazy ass book!
Colt is not your typical hero. He’s dark and what he does is despicable. He did not rate high on the like him/love him meter at all. But as the story grew, I found myself falling for him, even though part of me wanted to say hell no are you freaking crazy????
Lily had no idea what she was getting into with Colt and there were times at the beginning she wished she never saw him.
Colt and Lily’s chemistry is sparking hot and delicious.
Now there is so much more that I want to type in the review….but I don’t want to give anything away and I’m afraid I will.
So here is my summary, GO. READ. THIS. FREAKING. BOOK

I was a Russian spy at the ripe age of thirteen, given my uncanny ability to tell if someone was lying ( I also read fortunes on the weekends). By sixteen I had become too much of a handful for the Lethal Intelligence Ensemble (L.I.E.). I was quickly exiled to the south of France where I worked with wayward elephants in the Circus of Roaming Animals and People (C.R.A.P.). I was able to make ends meet by selling my organs on the black market for pocket change and beer money. At the age of twenty three I decided to expand my horizons and become a blackjack dealer in Ireland. I loved the family atmosphere at Barney's Underground Liquor Lounge (B.U.L.L.). People couldn't resist the allure of Liquor up front and poker in the rear. Eventually I became tired of the rear and headed off to the United States to try my hand at tall tales. That is what brings us here today. If you have a moment I'd like to tell you a story.
