By: Monica Murphy
New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy mixes business with pleasure in the second book of her sexy Billionaire Bachelors Club series …
Marina Knight came to this party for one thing only: to slap Gage Emerson in the face. Poised to snatch up her family's real estate empire, the sexy tycoon is on the verge of making an enemy for life—even if he can make her melt with a single kiss …
When Gage discovers that the alluring woman before him is the key to his latest acquisition, claiming her as his suddenly doesn't seem quite so cut-and-dried. To get what he wants, he must get to know the fierce woman willing to face him down—as she steadily steals his heart.
Gage's persistence and intense passion war with Marina's determination to protect her family. As they delve deeper into an affair they didn't see coming, Marina's torn: Will she lose her heart to Gage—or everything she holds dear?

Marina has one goal in mind....
Safe her family's business.
Gage on the other hand, is determined to convince her family to sale. And he is willing to go to any means necessary to make it happen.
Including using Marina.
It was actually kind of funny in the beginning with the first encounters between Marina and Gage. He took the whole "open mouth, insert foot" to a new level. Every single time we would talk to Marina in the beginning, he would come across as a complete jerk. Which he kinda was considering his motives. There were quite a few times I was like, did he REALLY just say that?! But at the same time, it was just so darn cute how flustered he would get around Marina!
As the story progresses, so does the attraction between these two. And when they finally give in to the sexual tension, it is HOT! It is that smokin' hot angry type sex. The I hate you, but I want you variety. But as to be expected, when you throw sex into any situation, it is bound to get messy. Is it possible that maybe Marina and Gage might feel more than dislike for one another? And even if they do, how is it possible for them to make it work with Gage wants to destroy the very thing Marina wants to save?
Well, you are just going to have to read the book to find out what becomes of these two. And believe me, you WANT to read Marina and Gage's hot and sexy story! Gage is a real hottie (even if he speaks without thinking sometimes!) and is definitely on my BBF list.
Certain books as I write them need music. Sometimes it’s a huge list of songs, sometimes a handful, sometimes even just one song can be the inspiration, the one I listen to over and over again until it’s almost embarrassing. As in, people would wonder why that particular song on my iTunes account has been listened to 400+ times…
But I digress. For TORN, the second book in my Billionaire Bachelors Club series, I have a confession to make: I didn’t listen to any songs while I wrote it. This happens more often than not. Here’s my deal. If I listen to music, sometimes I start singing along to it and I get distracted. Yes, I’m easily distracted. I’d rather stare unseeingly at the monitor and sing along with the song playing than you know, write.
Yeah, I’m sort of ridiculous.
So I’ve failed this blog post. I don’t have a playlist. Can you believe it? But! There was one song I listened to over and over when I was working on edits for TORN. Does that count? It’s a total chill song. I have a secret affinity for those. They’re usually super long, with not many words but they keep me chillax (<--- I can’t believe chillax is a real word, that is awesome) and allow me to focus on edits versus getting caught up in the song.
The song is called Superheroes and it’s by Esthero. You can find it on Spotify if you have an account. I might have a secret playlist on there that’s called Chill and I listen to it pretty consistently. In fact one of the songs from my secret Chill playlist is on the SAVOR playlist (the third and final book in the Billionaire Bachelors Club series).
Yeah, see? No playlist for TORN but one for SAVOR. I’m completely inconsistent when it comes to this what inspires you as a writer thing. I don’t know if this is a good thing or a total fail.
I hope you check out the Superheroes song! Tell me, do you like listening to chillax (my new favorite word now because it’s a real one according to Microsoft Word) music? Or am I the weird oddity in this case?
