“In its purest form love is self-sacrificing, eternal, selfless, enduring, truthful, forgiving and indulgent. It also feels an awful lot like a kick to the stomach when you try to fight it!“
All Everleigh Carsen wanted to do was complete her final semester at Hensley University and begin the life she carefully planned.
When a wave of violent crime seizes campus, Everleigh is persuaded to attend a school sponsored self-defense seminar by her best friend, where she meets volunteer instructor, Hunter Charles. After Everleigh’s biting sarcasm induces Hunter to eject her from class, a tempestuous relationship is born.
Everleigh is determined to forget the striking man, but fate–that fickle shrew–continuously intervenes. Unable to escape him, she declares Hunter an enemy combatant. The only complication… Hunter is resolutely pursuing vindication…by any means necessary. Verbal warfare ensues, and despite Everleigh’s ingenious efforts, in Hunter, she has finally found her equal.
Only For You is a compelling tale of friendship, desire, and redemption--brimming with intelligent characters, witty dialogue, unexpected twists, profound sorrow, unfettered hope, and love’s unassailable perseverance.
Note: Although this is series, each novel can be read as a stand alone.

This book was not what I expected at all and it was great to read a story that was not predictable at all.
Everleigh (Ev) and her best friend Samantha (Sam) are in their last semester at Hensley College. They have been friends since they were at primary school, Ev's mum works for Sam's family. After Ev's mum dies, Sam's family agree to her living with them and supporting her through high school. These two girls are inseparable.
There has been a string of attacks on young women at the College and so Sam & Ev decide to sign up for some precautionary self defense classes. Enter Hunter Charles - ripped, hot, sexy, tattooed eye candy. Both girls are completely gob smacked over this sexy man.
"Don't even pretend you don't see that prime cut of meat. I'm quitting food and becoming a manivore" - Sam
"He was ripped. I could wash my clothes on his stomach if there was ever a nuclear event that killed the world's power sources and we were forced to revert to pioneer living" - Ev talking about Hunter
During the class Ev's little comments and sniggers to Sam come to Hunter's attention and he asks Ev to leave the class because she is not taking it seriously. Talk about humiliating!
Later that day Ev discovers that Hunter is in four of her classes so she can't avoid him really. She enjoys lots of witty banter with him and after a couple of days decides that she thinks he is in fact gay and befriends him into her small circle of friends.
The attacks continue on women and Hunter becomes very protective of Everleigh. In fact, it almost feels like they are dating but without the intimacy. They spend a lot of time together.
Sam starts dating a guy called Robbie who is in a frat house with some dickhead guys. One in particular bothers Ev a few times.
Then there is sweet Griffin who runs a bar called The Bus Stop, this is the girls regular drinking hole and they fast become good friends with Griffin, who has a huge crush on Sam. Linc is another good friend of the girls and is Ev's regular dance partner at bar on a Saturday night. If that is not enough boys, Ev meets Josh at a krav maga class and starts dating him, much to Hunter's dismay - even though he is only her best friend.
The attacks continue to happen and then a girl is killed, and then another.... The girls are on edge all the time and safety is paramount to their daily lives. Who can they trust?
Then the unthinkable happens. Everything they thought they knew about some of the boys in their lives was completely wrong.
This book completely gripped me, I kept trying to figure it out and changed my mind about who the 'baddie' was a lot. I loved not knowing what was going to happen next.
