Giveaway, Review & Tour: Thursday Nights (Charistown #1) by:Lisa N. Paul

Pain can leave even the strongest of people weak and hollow. But when fate brings two weak souls together, will the love they find mend the fragments that are barely holding them together, or will the weight of their past finally cause them to crumble?

Max DeLucca has spent seven years trying to forget the betrayal of his past. He lives his life from day to day never looking forward and never looking back. The walls around his heart keep anyone from getting too close and prevent him from feeling too much…until he meets her.

Her entire life, Janie Silver searched for the kind of love that wouldn’t leave her broken and more importantly, wouldn't leave her behind. She longs for a love that can heal the wounds of her past and give her the future she knows she deserves. She thought she was looking for something that just didn’t exist…until she meets him.

Danny’s on Main is where their story begins. A neighborhood bar where strangers become friends, friends become family and some … become lovers
… it all started on Thursday Nights

First things first, yes this is part of a series but NO there is not a cliff hanger! This is one of those types of series where the story will be continued with different characters you meet in book one. So, please don't let the fact that it is a series scare you off. Because you will be missing out on a truly good book!
Thursday Nights is about Max and Janie. They are friends who have slowly been building to more. Only neither one of them realize it. We are taken along on the journey of them trying to learn to navigate a relationship that neither was prepared for.
There were so many things I loved about their story. They are both older (so this is definitely not New Adult) and have years of real life under their belts. While that is good in a way, it also makes them both more skittish about embarking on this new relationship. Max more so than Janie. There are skeletons hidden both their closets and opening the door on them proves to be no easy task.
But this book also so much more than a couple struggling to find their way to each other. It also is about friendships and how much sweeter life can be because of them. It shows you how those bonds you form can quickly become like family. Hell, maybe even better then family. You get pieces of all of those close to Janie and Max. Not all you need to truly know them, but just enough to leave you intrigued and wanting more.
And did I mention the smexy moments between Janie and Max? No?! Well, let me tell you, they are H-O-double-T HOTT!! Max is definitely a man that is all about pleasing his woman. Which of course makes Janie one lucky chick. And us the readers lucky enough to read about it all!
*One side note* I am kinda a stickler for certain words being used in the heat of passion. There are a few that are just a major no no for me. Unfortunately, they were used in this book which in turn lowered the rating I would have given this book by half a star. It may not bother some, but it did me.
